Princess Hotels Riviera Maya collaborates with World Breast Cancer Day

Every year the month of October takes on a pink hue to remind us of the importance of raising awareness regarding breast cancer, a disease that affects millions of women around the world.
At Princess Hotels Riviera Maya we understand that prevention and early detection are the best weapons in this fight and are proud to collaborate in the commemoration of World Breast Cancer Day.
During this significant month we collaborate with special activities focused on promoting the health and wellbeing of our employees. These activities are carried out as part of our Princess And You 360 social responsibility programme.
The month of October is not only an opportunity to remember those who have faced this battle, but also to educate the community about the importance of regular check-ups and early detection.
In our family of partners and collaborators we believe in creating an environment of support and awareness in which every woman feels supported and empowered to take care of her health.
19th of October: World Breast Cancer Day

The 19th October marks World Breast Cancer Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of a disease that affects millions of women worldwide.
The main objective of this date is to promote early detection, a crucial measure in terms of increasing the chances of successful treatment and survival.
In addition, World Breast Cancer Day seeks to educate the public about the importance of self-examination, regular medical check-ups, and access to appropriate treatment.
The colour pink is the symbol of the fight against breast cancer, and during the month of October it is not uncommon to see buildings illuminated and people sporting pink bows as a means of showing support for the cause.
Medical check-ups and talks on early detection

During the week of the 14th to the 18th of October we offered a range of free medical services for employees at Princess Hotels Riviera Maya.
Among the services provided were pap smears, breast examinations, and where necessary, referrals for mammography studies.
These examinations are vital in terms of early detection and we are proud to have facilitated access to them as a means of helping to protect the health of our employees.
In addition to the medical services, we also organised informative talks in both hotel complexes. These talks addressed the importance of early detection of breast cancer, explained how to perform self-examinations, and provided information about what steps to take for early diagnosis.
These sessions not only provided useful information but also empowered our female employees to take control of their health and wellbeing.
Making a Pink Bow of Hope

As a way of demonstrating our commitment to this cause, members of the various departments and hotels that comprise the Riviera Maya resort joined together to form a giant pink bow, the universal symbol of the fight against breast cancer.
A special call was made for hotel employees to wear pink and form a human bow in representation of the international symbol of the fight against breast cancer.
This activity is a reflection of our solidarity and reminds us that together we are stronger in this battle. It’s a simple but powerful gesture which aims to inspire everyone to unite and take action.
At Princess Hotels Riviera Maya we are deeply committed to the fight against breast cancer, not only in October, but throughout the year.
We are proud to be able to contribute to this cause and we reaffirm our commitment to continue promoting prevention and awareness. Together we can make a difference. Prevention is life!
