A Visit to Batey la Gina del Isleño Primary School – Princess Hotels Punta Cana

As part of our Princess And You 360 Social Responsibility Project, Princess Hotels in Punta Cana continue to demonstrate their commitment to the local community.

Thanks to the support generated by our Pack For A Purpose programme, we were able to maximise the impact of our actions. Last Thursday, October 3rd, our teams visited the Batey la Gina del Isleño Primary School, where we presented a very special donation of school supplies.

The gifts, which we were able to collect thanks to the generosity of our guests, were received with great joy by the children of the community.

A day of commitment and solidarity

The Princess Hotels Punta Cana team arrived loaded with backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other school supplies to be presented to the students.

In addition to the supplies, our team brought biscuits and juices, providing a moment of pure sweetness for the children. The Batey la Gina del Isleño Primary School is not only dedicated to education, it also provides for the basic needs of its students by offering them two meals a day, thanks to government funding.

It is important to point out that many of these children arrive at school without having had breakfast, which makes these small efforts even more meaningful.

Seeing the excitement on their faces as they received these gifts was a powerful reminder of the impact that even the smallest of gestures can have on the lives of others.

Inspirational moments

During our visit one of the teachers told us how well behaved the children are and how much they enjoy learning. The children were not only charming and polite, but also deeply grateful for our donation.

Many proudly displayed their homework in their notebooks, while others surprised our volunteers with hand-drawn pictures.

The arrival of characters such as Spiderman and Ironman was another magical moment that led to the sound of laughter and games filling the air, creating indelible memories.

These moments of connection and joy left an impression not only on the children, but also on our team, who were able to witness first-hand the value of these solidarity actions. At the end of the day we reminded the students of the importance of continuing their studies and encouraged them to dream big.

In the future, they will be the ones who can contribute to their community, maybe by returning the favour and donating to other children in need.
