The area known as La Playa del Inglés comprises the east coast of the Maspalomas dunes, from Punta Maspalomas to Playa de San Agustín, in the south of the island. It is an area that offers a multitude of options for the practice of water sports in Gran Canaria, as we will tell you later. This is due to the optimal conditions of sea and wind, together with the temperature of the water (between 18 and 22 degrees centigrade on average), which favour the practice of sports in the water and on the sand.

In our two restaurants, every element is taken care of in detail, starting from the selection and quality of the food, through the preparation by our chefs, to the presentation at the table. A real show not only for the palate, but also for sight, touch and smell!
In the main restaurant with terrace, you can taste local and international specialities (so you don’t stop feeling at home), served in buffet and with live kitchen stations. At the Bohio restaurant, we serve a la carte dishes and a selection of snacks.
In this modern and minimalist hotel (the designer furniture and decorative elements set the tone), you can benefit from all the advantages of city life. The commercial and leisure area is nearby: the Yumbo shopping centre is located at a short distance from the hotel and is very popular with the LGTB collective, as it is the epicentre of the gay pride parties in Maspalomas. Very close to our hotel, these famous dunes are a must see, because there is nothing like the view of a fascinating desert at the foot of the Atlantic Ocean. The dunes of Maspalomas have everything to look like a reproduction of the desert, including an oasis, which in this case is the pond of Maspalomas, very close to the lighthouse of Maspalomas, also very famous.
La Playa del Inglés is a perfect beach for urbanites, with a high level of development that guarantees all the amenities you can expect. During the day, it is a good place to practice water and sand sports as a couple or with friends, as well as for family holidays. At night it has a very young and festive atmosphere. We also recommend visiting Playa de San Agustín, a well-known but fairly quiet tourist area.
Sheltered by the Fataga ravine, the little village of the same name is hidden among cliffs and palm trees in the south of the island. It preserves the typical Canarian rural architecture, with its narrow, cobbled streets, along which colourful flowers abound in contrast to the white facades.
One of the largest canyons in the Canary archipelago, known for its pre-Hispanic archaeological remains (there are many cave-houses that have been preserved) and its valuable wealth of flora and fauna that is unique to the island. It is a perfect place for hiking (to enjoy the walk along the palm-filled slopes and the transition areas to the thermophilic forest) and other activities.
These are some of the sites of interest in Gran Canaria that are close to our hotel, in the south zone and its surroundings; but it is not even a minimum part of what the island has reserved for you. Come and see for yourself!

In the evenings, we ask our guests to dress appropriately in the bars and restaurants. Therefore, entry to these areas will not be allowed wearing bathing suits, sleeveless shirts or sports clothes.
