3º Princess 5k Run – Running for education 2024 – Riviera Maya

It’s with great excitement that Princess Hotels Riviera Maya would like to announce the arrival of our 3rd Princess 5k Run – Running for Education 2024.

As part of our Princess and You 360 Sustainable programme, our Grand Riviera and Grand Sunset Princess hotels are organising the 3rd Princess 5k Run in an effort to raise funds to support the Counting on a Friend school.

This type of initiative reflects our hotels’ commitment to the social and educational well-being of their communities and helps generate a positive impact on the local community.

All about the event

This coming November 2nd you are cordially invited to our Princess hotels in the Riviera Maya! You’ll have to be there at 6:30 AM to participate in this event.

The race will start at 7:00 AM in the car parks between the lobbies of the Grand Riviera and Grand Sunset Princess.

In this edition there will also be a booth area where you’ll be able to find a range of products for sale, including handicrafts, foodstuffs and plants, among other items.

Registrations must be made through the REGISTRATION tab in this link, where you can enter your personal data and make your payment. Registration ends on Thursday the 31st of October, 2024.

The run will include 3 categories:

• 5K – Adults women
• 5K – Adults men
• 1K – Children’s’ mixed (Obstacle run)

All those who register will receive a kit containing:

• Kit bag
• Commemorative T-shirt
• Race number
• Medal
• With your runner number you can participate in a raffle for different prizes.

For registration, please make sure you meet the following requirements:

• The age limit for the adult category is 13 years or older and for the children’s category 8 to 12 years of age.
• Registration must be paid for via online registration
• Always wear a visible runner’s number
• Wear sports clothing and footwear

Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each category.

The awards ceremony will take place at 9 am at the finish line (car park between the Riviera and Sunset lobbies).

Running for education

This 3rd Princess 5K Run is part of an initiative carried out by Princess hotels Riviera Maya in support of the Contando con un Amigo foundation, the objective being to raise funds to contribute to the development and improvement of the conditions of this school and provide an opportunity for children who are part of the school community.

The event is a social responsibility initiative carried out by the Grand Riviera and Grand Sunset Princess hotels in an effort to generate a positive impact on the education and welfare of students who need it most.
