Why choose a suite room at Princess Canarias hotels

By | 31 October, 2025 | 0 comments

Bedroom of the Esencia Suite at the Princess Taurito Hotel in Mogán (Gran Canaria)

If you’re thinking about treating yourself on your next holiday in the Canary Islands and staying in a superior room, take a look at the suites and junior suites available in our Princess Canarias Privé promotion.

Get a discount when you book a hotel suite at Princess Canarias

Princess Canarias Privé promotion offering up to 35% off when booking suites and junior suites at Princess Hotels Canary Islands

Perhaps you’ve never booked a superior hotel room before, usually opting for a standard room. Now, with the Princess Canarias Privé offer, you have the opportunity to book one of our suites or junior suites with up to 35% off by using the promo code PRINCESSPRIVE.

In addition to the discount, when you book one of our superior rooms through Princess Canarias Privé, you’ll receive a welcome gift of a bottle of wine or cava and a box of chocolates, so you can start your stay on a sweet note.

What is a suite?

Suites and junior suites are two types of superior rooms that stand out for their larger size and enhanced comfort compared to standard rooms. These superior rooms often enjoy a better location, refined and elegant décor, as well as better views and additional services.

If you’ve ever wondered what exactly a suite is, or what the difference is between a suite and a junior suite, here’s your answer.

A suite is a superior-category room consisting of several separate areas, typically including a bedroom, a living room and/or a dining area, a bathroom, and a balcony or terrace.

Difference between a suite and a junior suite

The main differences between a suite and a junior suite lie in the room size, layout, and level of comfort offered. A suite is larger than a junior suite and has clearly defined spaces such as a separate living room and bedroom. In contrast, a junior suite usually integrates the living area within the bedroom, without a physical division between the spaces.

In addition, hotel suites feature a more elegant and exclusive interior design than junior suites and offer enhanced facilities, such as a larger balcony or terrace with better views. For example, some suites include a full bathroom with both a separate shower and bathtub, as well as deluxe bath amenities, while junior suites often have either a shower-over-bath setup or just a shower.

Is it worth paying for a room upgrade?

If you’ve already booked a standard hotel room but would like to enjoy extra space or additional services, it’s definitely worth considering an upgrade to a suite or junior suite. This small change can add that extra level of comfort and exclusivity you’re looking for.

At Princess Canarias, you can request an upgrade at check-in upon arrival at the hotel and change your room category to the one you prefer by simply paying the price difference.
