For this reason, the Fuerteventura Princess Hotel offers a Vital & Fitness programme, which lets you train your body and mind in the company of professionals while you enjoy an idyllic setting.

Fuerteventura Princess Vital & Fitness promotes a healthy lifestyle among hotel guests through modern training and health methodologies. Its activities are for every level and take place every day of the week, from 8 am to 8 pm, in different areas of the hotel, and outside as well.

This programme is divided into four categories so you can find the one that’s right for you. Would you like to know what each one offers?

1.Vital & Fitness: Body + Mind

Fuerteventura Princess Gym

A balance between body and mind is one of the keys to happiness. And in this programme, we use some of the most effective methods to achieve it:

  • Sunrise Yoga. Morning light has a special energy. That’s why, in the hotel’s artificial beach, we’ll do some asanas (yoga poses) to let you flow and harmonise your muscles and breathing.
  • Hatha Yoga. The classes for this type of yoga will be held in the Sotavento Club, the wellness area of Fuerteventura Princess. There, movements and breathing come together to purify the spirit.
    • Pilates. The balance between body and mind is also achieved using this method, where the quality of movement and body and mind control are essential. It also takes place in the Sotavento Club.
  • Wellness Workout. This training lets you activate your energy and body. Each exercise is done paying attention to appropriate breathing techniques and control of the abdominal muscles. It is also done in the Sotavento area.
  • Fascia Fit. The fascia is the tissue that connects the muscles, blood vessels and nerves. Using a foam roller, we can activate and take care of this fundamental part of our physical health, as shown by the latest studies. This programme takes place at the Sotavento Club.
  • Paddle Yoga. In the pool, you will replace the yoga mat with an SUP board, putting your balance, concentration and breathing to the test.

2.Vital & Fitness: Fitness

When you work out, do you like to raise your heart rate and sweat while you clear your mind? Then the Fitness category is for you:

    • Zumba. Combines high and low intensity dance movements with interval training to burn calories. Classes are held outside the Matchpoint Bar.
    • Aqua Zumba. Zumba workouts can also be moved to the pool. This will help reduce the impact of the movements while giving your muscles a different workout.
    • Powerbike (indoor cycling). Go to the gym and, with a small group and a specialised trainer, do a cardio workout on stationary bikes. Motivation is guaranteed.
    • Piloxing. Boxing, pilates, ballet, dance and plyometrics merge to burn calories and tone the body. Classes take place outside the Matchpoint Bar.
    • Sling training/Outdoor workout. Exercise every part of the body with a full-body routine where you work out using your own body weight, TRX and other “fitness toys”. A simple and effective way to combine all the elements of physical conditioning: strength, resistance, coordination, flexibility and power. It takes place on the lawn of the Beach Volley area.
    • Deepwork™/Functional training. A unique and demanding method to put all your physical skills to the test. It is done on the lawn of the Beach Volley area.
    • Step + Tone: Step classes make cardiovascular exercise fun, while providing a good method to work out your lower body. It takes place outside the Matchpoint Bar.
    • Fitness test. We conduct a biometric health assessment with physical fitness tests and questionnaires to analyse your lifestyle. It takes place in the gym.
  • Assisted training. Our physical trainer will guide you in the gym to help you maximise your potential.

3.Vital & Fitness: Health + Nutrition

Nutrition is also important on the road to fullness and well-being. Therefore, it is essential to combine physical exercise with a diet rich in nutrients and minerals. We’ll help you do it in this category:

    • Poolbike. Pedal against water resistance on special bikes for swimming pools. This routine helps the immune system and combats cellulite.
    • Poolgym freestyle. We move the gym to the pool so you can enjoy (and endure) a unique workout system.
    • Core stability. The core is the most important part of the body at a functional level. It is made up of muscles that surround the torso and legs, such as the abs and glutes. We’ll help you get fit in the gym.
    • Aqua gym. Do gymnastics in the pool by fighting water resistance with your own body while having lots of fun.
    • Healthy back. Moves, stretches and strengthens the entire musculature around the spine. A true blessing that you will enjoy at the Sotavento Club.
    • Vital Balance. In our courses, we incentivise carefully targeted efforts to promote physical fitness and quality of life. It takes place in the Sotavento area.
    • Vital Walking/Nordic Walking. We’re heading off to Esquinzo Beach to enjoy a wonderful cardio-circulatory workout. We start by mobilising muscles and joints, before moving the body outdoors between the sand and sea.
  • Nutritional workshop. An expert in nutrition will give you the keys to eating a balanced diet. The courses take place in the Sotavento Club.
  • Eat healthy. The restaurant has a “Healthy Food Station” that is replenished daily.

4.Vital & Fitness: Relaxation and well-being

In this category, you will enjoy yoga classes, sauna circuits and meditation exercises to elevate your body and mind to a state of relaxation and well-being:

  • Nidra Yoga. This is an ancient meditation technique from India. It literally means “yoga dream”, since it lets you penetrate deep into states of conscious relaxation. It takes place in the sun lounger area of the Sotavento Club.
  • Meditation. Guided meditation exercises in which posture and position are key. Held in the Sotavento area or on the beach.
  • Myofascial massage. This tissue is massaged using a foam roller or fascia balls to restore your well-being. It takes place in the Sotavento area.
  • Ritual Relax Sauna. “Infusion/Aufguss” aromatherapy and mental exercise ritual in the sauna. By using a relaxing infusion, we create moments of sensuality while making you sweat slowly and gently.
  • Ritual Sauna Event: We combine the ritual with innovative wellness treatments to boost the immune system and improve circulation.

Wellness Evening. We combine two sauna infusion ceremonies with wellness treatments, guided relaxation exercises, and a mineral drink and fruit dish.
