Beach Clean-up in Platinum Yucatan Princess: together for a cleaner planet

At Platinum Yucatan Princess we firmly believe in the importance of caring for and contributing to the preservation of the planet.

Which is why, on the 20th of July last, we took another step forward in our commitment to ecology and sustainability by organising a beach clean-up day.

This activity, among the many others we carry out in an effort to improve our environment, is part of our social responsibility programme Princess And You 360.

Mission successfully accomplished

The event was a resounding success and brought together a group of committed volunteers comprising staff from various sectors of the hotel.

The programme began early in the morning, as volunteers prepared themselves with gloves, bags and plenty of positive energy, ready to make a difference to our beautiful beaches and green areas.

The diversity of the team was inspiring, and included receptionists, managers, therapists, administrators, security, public area staff and entertainers, all united by a common objective: to leave our environment better than we found it.

The result was impressive, as we managed to collect some 185 kg of waste, including glass, cans, plastics and other rubbish, items that, regrettably, affect the natural beauty of our environment.

The waste was then sorted and sent for recycling or appropriate disposal, ensuring it was handled in the most eco-friendly way possible.

This initiative is not just an opportunity to contribute to the protection of the environment… it also reinforces our commitment to creating clean, welcoming surroundings for all our guests.

We want our visitors to enjoy the natural wonders that surround us without having to concern themselves with litter.

We believe that every little action counts, and we are proud of the dedication and efforts of our team.
