Covid-19 measures by country in the Caribbean
Dominican Republic
Following the orders of the Dominican government, our facilities request no vaccines, PCR tests, or antigen tests to access them.
To enter the Dominican Republic, most countries do not require any type of vaccine certification or testing, although there is a small list of countries at risk (a list that is being updated) and they must provide a negative test. However, some random breath tests will be carried out at the airports, from which children under 5 years of age, people with vaccination certificates and people with a negative PCR test performed 72 hours before will be exempt.
To avoid any issues, we advise our customers to check the requirements for their country of origin first. And above all, it would be best to contact the embassy of the Dominican Republic in the country of origin to learn about current requirements, as they change from time to time.
Mexico
They work with a traffic light system. This system divides the country into regions and each region can have a different colour: red, orange, yellow and green. The goal is to achieve the green colour in order to reach the new normal in each region and the country in general.
These traffic light colours are updated everyday. In order to stay in our Riviera Maya hotels you must be aware of the Quintana Roo region colour.
In order to access the country, neither vaccination nor PCR are requested, however, ta health questionnaire that can be filled out at the airport will be requested. No tests will be requested to access our hotels.
However, upon return, American guests are required to have an antigen test in their country. Other countries such as Canada, Argentina and Chile, ask them to present a negative PCR also at the time of the return.
If you want to be safer, please check with your country’s embassy in Mexico .
Guests who have tested positive must isolate for 7 days.
