Today there’s somebody we want to get to know a little better, the famous Francisco Chocolate from the Princess Family Club Bávaro Hotel.

If there is one thing that children love, it’s sweets, which is why dear Francisco, our head pastry chef, is one of the wizards who puts a smile on the faces of the little ones in our hotel.

Although he is usually working in the pastry area, sometimes he surprises us all with his chocolate trolley, with which he goes around the tables handing out sweets to the guests.

Meet Francisco in his own words

Hello Francisco, tell us who you are and where you come from?

Hello, my name is Francisco, but they call me Chocolate. I’m from Barahona (in the south of the Dominican Republic) and I’ve been with the company for 19 years.

What is your track record at the Princess Family Club Bávaro?

I started as a steward and now I am responsible for the baking team.

What’s your favourite place in the hotel?

My favourite area is the Family area, in particular the water park.

What do you like about your job?

Where baking is concerned, I like to make sweets, as they bring joy to everyone, especially the children.

What have you learned at Princess Hotels & Resorts?

Thanks to Princess I’ve learned about information, I’ve taken courses, I know how to work with staff, with colleagues, how to get along and always be polite, and be sure of what you are doing.

Any anecdotes?

At the Princess I’m known for the chocolate trolley, which I always prepare to make the kids happy, and all the guests. I’m recognised all over the island and internationally.

Any message for our guests?

Here we are, always preparing something special, always working with sweets and chocolate. You’re very welcome, and we await you with open arms. I’m the famous Francisco “Chocolate”, and I am always here, waiting for you with love in my heart, especially for the children, who I love to make happy.

Francisco definitely knows how to give a sweet touch to everything he does, and we hope it will also be a sweet beginning for all future guests of the Princess Family Club Bávaro who’ll be visiting us soon.
