Interview with Dionne, Kids Club entertainer at the Princess Family Club Riviera #WeArePrincess

Today it’s the turn of our beloved Dionne, one of the top entertainers at our Princess Family Club Riviera hotel.

Kids love to have fun, which is why our charismatic entertainer and Kids Club supervisor is so important to our hotel. Always radiant and with a smile on her face, she makes sure the younger members of the family have a great time during their stay.

She’s usually to be found in the Kids Club, in the theatre, or in our little market garden.

Tell us about yourself.

Hello, my name is Dionne, and I work in the Animation Department.

Can you give us a brief description of yourself?

I am a very smiley person, I love to help others, to make people laugh, and I love working with other people.

Can you tell us where you’re from and how you came to Princess?

I’m from Guadalajara, Jalisco. I arrived here at the Princess Hotel a year and a half ago. I was looking for a job with the opportunity for personal growth, and I joined thanks to a friend who was already working here as an entertainer. He invited me to come and work here.

What is your job at the Princess Family Club Riviera?

I’m an entertainer at the Kids Club, where I’m currently helping with supervision.

What do you value most about your work?

What I value most about my job is definitely the time I spend with children, especially when they’re children from other countries with totally different cultures, as I learn a lot from them.

In your day-to-day activities, how do you practice or contribute to the hotel’s social and environmental responsibility plans?

In the Kids Club we support the environment through different activities in which we recycle materials such as bottle caps and cardboard, and the children make their own handicrafts.

There’s also our little market garden, where families and children can visit, and where we grow chillies, sunflowers, tomatoes, etc.

And at the same time we teach the children where to throw away their cardboard and plastic, so they also learn a little bit about recycling.

Where is your favourite place in the Riviera Maya, and in the hotel?

Without doubt one of my favourite places in the Riviera Maya is Bacalar. It’s an incredible place.

And in the hotel my favourite place is the theatre, to be honest, because I think that’s where we do the most dynamic activities with the children in the evenings.

What would be your recommendation for someone visiting us? Something not to be missed.

One of the things you definitely can’t miss is our foam party in the pool, for children and adults, they’re great fun.

Then there are our evening shows, which are some of the best shows in the area.

And last but not least, if you’re in the Riviera Maya, don’t miss the opportunity to visit us at Princess Family Club Riviera.
