Golf in the Canary Islands

If you’re looking for a destination where you can play golf all year round, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, the Canary Islands are the perfect choice. This Atlantic archipelago offers a privileged climate, with stable average temperatures and little rainfall, along with a wide selection of golf courses designed by renowned architects, set in stunning natural surroundings – by the sea, among dunes, near volcanoes or nestled in peaceful valleys.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting out, you’ll find options to suit all skill levels. Many courses also feature golf academies, practice areas, pro shops, restaurants, and exclusive services to ensure a well-rounded experience.

Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura are home to some of the finest golf courses in the archipelago, all located near the Princess hotels, making it easy to combine a relaxing holiday with top-tier sporting days. From challenging courses lined with palm trees to fairways overlooking the Atlantic, each island offers its own unique character and style of play, making the Canaries an unmatched destination for golf lovers.

Below, you’ll find a complete guide to the main golf courses across these three islands, with all the information you need to plan your next golf getaway. Ready to enjoy the perfect swing in paradise?

Jandía Golf Course

If you’re keen to enjoy your favourite sport on the island, we recommend Jandía Golf. Here, you can tee off at any time of year, thanks to the area’s average annual temperature of 21°C. Plus, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the mountains and the Jandía Lighthouse.

This course was designed by architect Ron Kirby, who also created Salobre Golf North and Meloneras Golf in Gran Canaria. It boasts 18 holes across a par 72 layout, covering an area of 335,086 square metres. The course is built to entertain golfers of all levels, offering holes that encourage the use of various clubs and playing techniques.

On site, you’ll also find a practice area that includes a 20-bay driving range, a bunker and various target greens, a pitching green and a putting green. At the Pro Shop, you can pick up all sorts of golfing accessories – gloves, caps, shoes, and more. And at the Clubhouse, a refined social area, you can relax and connect with fellow players from around the world.

Located in the south of Fuerteventura, it’s just a 10-minute drive from our hotels on the island, Fuerteventura Princess and Club Jandía Princess.
