Two must-visit water parks in Gran Canaria

By | 15 October, 2021 | 0 comments

Kidzworld zone at Aqualand Maspalomas

Kidzworld zone at Aqualand MaspalomasThanks to the wonderful climate, you can enjoy water parks all year round when you visit the Canary Islands. And the island of Gran Canaria has some of the best for having fun and splashing around in the water. The perfect way to pass the time with family or friends!

1. Aqualand Maspalomas

Aqualand Maspalomas is located in the Gran Canarian town of Maspalomas. This park has dozens of slides, water labyrinths and a huge kamikaze slide – plus lots more. They’re guaranteed to get your adrenaline going – and maybe your fear of heights?

There’s a Kidzworld zone for the little ones where they can play and have fun on water slides and attractions at speeds and sizes tailor-made for them. And you’ll find a wide range of catering options throughout the park: self-service, cafes, snack bars and ice cream stalls.

As you walk around the facilities, you’ll also come across a shop with everything you need to enjoy a day at a water park in Gran Canaria: swimsuits, sun cream, towels, armbands, goggles and more. And you might want to pick up a souvenir whilst you’re there – take your pick from toys, cuddly toys and T-shirts with the Aqualand logo.

Aqualand Maspalomas is open every day from 10:00 till 17:00, with discounted prices for children and Canary Island residents.

Water labyrinth at Aqualand Maspalomas

The park is really near to our Maspalomas Princess, Tabaiba Princess and Gran Canaria Princess hotels.

Maspalomas Princess is a 4-star resort close to Maspalomas beach. It has its own tropical gardens brimming with palm trees – the perfect spot to relax – as well as an artificial beach. And it’s just 3.5 kilometres from Aqualand Maspalomas.

Our 4-star Tabaiba Princess hotel is very close to Maspalomas Dunes Natural Park and Maspalomas Golf course. It has its own adults-only zone (18+ only) and is just 3.5 kilometres from Aqualand Maspalomas.

Gran Canaria Princess is an adults-only (16+ only) 4-star resort located in the heart of Playa del Inglés, near the long, golden sand beach of the same name. It’s 5.5 kilometres from Aqualand Maspalomas.

2. Oasis Lago Taurito

Oasis Lago Taurito in Mogán is the Canary Islands’ only sea water park. You’ll find it at: Urbanización, C. Alhambra, s/n, 35138 Taurito, Las Palmas. There are plenty of slides for hours of fun as well as other facilities such as restaurants, bars and shops. The Mini Park children’s zone has lots of children’s slides and a giant bucket that tips litres of splashy fun over their heads.

Multi-flume slides at Oasis Lago Taurito

There’s also a gym and sports zone for tennis or paddle tennis fans. The Wellness Centre and Spa is another major highlight, where you can relax in the thermal waters. The ideal place for parents to take some time out from the kids and chill for a little while.

Oasis Lago Taurito Wellness and Spa Zone

Oasis Lago Taurito water park in Gran Canaria is open every day from 10:00 till 18:00, with discounted prices for children aged 3-12.

Plus, it’s located right between our Taurito Princess and TUI BLUE Suite Princess hotels in Taurito Bay, just metres from both hotels. And it’s close to Mogán Princess & Beach Club too.

Taurito Princess is a 4-star resort in Mogán with incredible views of the sea and Playa Taurito. Perfect for family or couples’ holidays. The children’s swimming pool is separate from the main swimming pool. The hotel is just a 4-minute walk from Oasis Lago Taurito water park.

TUI BLUE Suite Princess is an adults-only (16+) 4-star hotel on the beachfront in Mogán. It benefits from direct access to the beach and has been specially-designed to be the perfect destination for a romantic getaway or a couples’ trip to Gran Canaria. Oasis Lago Taurito water park is just a few minutes from the hotel.

Mogán Princess & Beach Club hotel is a 4-star hotel nestled into the upper part of Taurito cliffs, next to Playa Taurito. Because of its position high on the cliffs, you’ll get the best views of the Atlantic Ocean and Taurito Bay. This hotel is 1.5 kilometres from Oasis Lago Taurito Park.
