2nd Princess 5k Race – Run & Music 2023 – Riviera Maya

Princess Hotels Riviera Maya has the pleasure of announcing our Second Princess 5k Race – Run & Music 2023.

Thanks to our Princess and You 360 Sustainable programme, the proactivity of our Grand Riviera and Grand Sunset Princess hotels, and the collaboration of the Mexican Children’s Cancer Association (AMANC), we are able to achieve our goal of raising funds and helping children with cancer to have a better life.

Event details

We have a new date for your calendar – the 30th of September at our Riviera Maya hotels! Participants will assemble at the hotel facilities at 6:30 am ready to run.

The race will kick off at 7 am in the car park between the Grand Riviera and the Grand Sunset Princess.

At the start of the race, wireless headphones (those used at silent parties), programmed to automatically tune in to a variety of live music genres, will be handed out to accompany you to the finish line and make it an unforgettable experience.

Don’t be left out! Entries are limited and the deadline for registration is Tuesday the 26th of September. The public registration fee is 500 MXN.

There are 3 categories:

• Male Adults: 5 kilometres
• Female Adults: 5 kilometres
• Children’s Mixed: 1 kilometre

All those who sign up will receive a kit containing:

• Kit bag
• Commemorative T-shirt
• Runner number
• Medal
• Box lunch at the end of the race
• Participation in a raffle with different prizes, on presentation of your number.

If you wish to register, please make sure you meet the following requirements:

• The adult category is for those aged 15+ and the children’s category is for those aged 8 to 14.
• Pay the required entry fee via the online website.
• Keep your number visible at all times.
• Wear appropriate sports clothing and footwear.

Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 finishers (in each category) and the ceremony will take place at 9 am at the finish line (car park between Riviera and Sunset).

Running for childhood cancer

AMANC Quintana Roo was founded in 1982 in an effort to help children with cancer and their families overcome hospital and healthcare deficiencies.

This is currently the only association offering comprehensive support for children and adolescents with cancer.

All funds raised from this event will go towards programmes and treatments designed to improve the quality of life of these brave children by providing emotional support, resources and access to advanced medical treatments.
