Interview with Gerardo Morales, Food & Beverage Manager at Platinum Yucatán Princess #WeArePrincess

Recently retired, Gerardo Morales, worked for nine and a half years at Grand Riviera Princess and Grand Sunset Princess (in the beginning) and Platinum Yucatán Princess (at the end of his career).

His friendly character always helped the people in his team to trust him and feel valued at the same time.

Over the years, he successfully developed many talents who were able to apply everything they had learned and obtain better positions both inside and outside the company.

There is no doubt that his last day was a day that many will look back on fondly.

Here are a few words from his final day at work.

How many years did you work for the company?

I worked for the company for nine and a half years. I started over at Riviera – Sunset.

How do you feel on your last day of work?

It’s a very moving day, with many mixed emotions. This hotel is like a huge tree that has given shelter to us all. But I’m happy because we delivered!

What will you miss most about your work?

What I’m going to miss most is arriving at the hotel and seeing everyone, all working in harmony. All our staff work admirably and have that same dynamic of caring for our guests.

What would you like to say to the guests?

I would like to tell them that it has been an honour to have them with us. To all of you who know me, it has been an honour to be here with you. And, honestly, I don’t feel like I’m leaving this family, I’m just withdrawing a little. At the end of the day, I’m taking them with me.
