At Princess Hotels we are always on the move, collaborating on solidarity projects with the communities that need it most as part of our commitment to our environment.
This time from our Princess hotels in the Riviera Maya we direct our efforts towards the little ones, with the intention of contributing our bit to help in the development of the most disadvantaged children and teenagers in the area.
Education, entertainment, and health are fundamental pillars in personal development and unfortunately, the Quintana Roo region suffers from significant deficiencies that prevent many children from growing up in the best way possible.
Therefore, at Princess Hotels and Resorts we collaborate with the organization “Pack for a Purpose” (which translates as “packing with a purpose”) which since 2010 has collected more than 54,000 kilos of basic materials in over 60 countries.
“Pack for a Purpose” was founded in 2009 in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, with a clear mission: “to make a positive impact on communities around the world by assisting travelers who want to make contributions to the places they visit”.
On their website, we find lists of affiliated companies including Princess Hotels, from where you can check for each company the specific project they collaborate on and the materials needed for that project.
All of this makes “Pack for a Purpose” a catalyst between local NGO projects in vulnerable communities and conscious travelers who want to use their trip to help those most in need.
Contributing to this, the Princess Hotels project consists of collecting donations of clothing, footwear, oral hygiene products, diapers, school supplies, sports equipment, and of course, toys in all their hotels in Riviera Maya.
To achieve this goal, the collaboration of our guests is essential. Reserve space in your suitcase for this purpose, and when you arrive at any of our hotels in Riviera Maya, look for a container like the one in the image in the lobby and donate what you can. A small gesture that will surely change lives.
All items collected in these containers will be sent to the communities in the state of Quintana Roo that need it most, and from Princess Hotels, we will share with you the smiles they have brought to the little ones thanks to your beautiful and supportive gesture.
Small space. Little effort. Big impact.
