The Princess Hotels & Resorts chain with its headquarters in Reus (Tarragona), and which currently has 19 hotels in  the Canary Isles, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, has chosen Barcelona as the location for its first city hotel which opened on 5 March 2004.
The architect behind this ambitious project, both for the construction and for the interior design, is the well-known Óscar Tusquets. The hotel has two towers (109 m high), with 23 and 26 floors respectively, joined together by see-through passageways.
