• Saona Island: Probably the best-known beach among tourists visiting the country. And with good reason! A full-day excursion that will take you to a dream island of white sands, coconut trees and a calm clear blue sea. Perfect for taking the best photos and making all your friends and acquaintances jealous.

• Catalina Island: If your family are underwater lovers and like to snorkel or dive, Catalina Island combines it all. A beautiful full day excursion where you can first dive to see colourful fish and coral reefs, and then continue spending the day on a paradisiacal Caribbean beach.

• Playa Bávaro: The beaches of our Princess hotels will leave you speechless, miles and miles of soft sand on which you can walk, play and have fun with your family. Our entertainment teams will organise fun activities for everyone, or if you prefer you can sit under one of our umbrellas and read your favourite book while sipping a refreshing piña colada.

Enjoying nature

Another fun plan for the whole family is to spend the day surrounded by nature and enjoy the local animals, take photos and learn more about them. In Punta Cana there are a few places where you can do this.

• Dolphins: If you dream of swimming with dolphins in Punta Cana, there are a few places where you can do so, such as Dolphin Discovery, Dolphin Island Park or Dolphin Explorer, all of which involve excursions close to the hotel, lasting a few hours, bound to delight all members of the family. If you are up for it, you can find the representatives in the lobbies of our hotels.

• Manta rays and sharks: Another exciting adventure is swimming with manta rays and nurse sharks, an experience only for the bravest in the house! You can also arrange these trips with Dolphin Explorer or Dolphin Island and the representatives at our hotels. It is only for a few hours, but it is an experience that will last forever in your memory.

• Monkeys: Enjoy and have a great time at Monkeyland, a guided tour that will allow you to interact with the endearing squirrel monkeys in a majestic setting of 5 hectares where you will see the monkeys descend from the trees and almost, almost, eat out of your hand. You will learn a lot about what these funny little animals are like and how they live.

• Horses: There are different excursions you can sign up to do through the representatives at our hotels that include horseback riding, either in the mountains, on farms (where you can also see other animals such as sheep, goats, chickens…) or on the beach. It is a beautiful activity to do with the family. You just have to see which one suits you best and go for it!

• Ecopark: a spectacular park where you can enjoy animals and nature, with 18 breeds of cattle and 17 breeds of horses surrounded by landscapes brimming with nature, rivers, palm trees, etc. Here you can also ride in Kayaks, milk some animals, paddleboard, ride a raft down the river or discover how a sugar mill works.

• Manatí Park: a zoo near the hotel where you can spend a few hours enjoying exotic birds, cute monkeys, crocodiles, sea lions, dolphins and even a rhino. It also has a recreation of a Taino village so you can see how they lived.

Adventures for all

• Bavaro Adventure Park: An adventure park full of activities in a natural and ecological environment. The activities you can enjoy are varied and for all tastes: buggy, zipline, horseback riding, climbing, bungee, flight simulator, bike, Segway… You can combine them with other plans such as walks through the orchid tree or the Dominican village, or seeing turtles or crocodiles.

• Scape Park: An exciting adventure park to enjoy with the whole family where you can have fun on ziplines, swim in underwater caves, or explore ancient caverns. They also have impressive swimming pools.

Mini clubs for the little ones

Always thinking of the little ones, the Princess hotels in Punta Cana – Grand Bavaro Princess, Princess Family Club Bávaro, Caribe Deluxe Princess and Tropical Deluxe Princess – have included in their facilities fun mini clubs full of games and a children’s pool, all monitored and controlled by our staff specialised in children’s entertainment. 

We are sure that the kings and queens of the house will have such a great time that they won’t want to leave our kids clubs, where they will make friends with children of other nationalities and enjoy a full calendar of entertainment.

They can do arts and crafts, play group games, compete in teams and even dance in the mini disco.
